Have you ever attended a virtual party? Most have never heard of the term Virtual Party, and look at me quite strange when I mention it. We all have seen Youtube, Skype, and Vine videos of child births and baby announcements. My team and I raised the bar and threw a Virtual Baby Shower. With friends and family living so far apart from each other these days, we must rely on technology to keep us connected. This same technology can be used to get together and throw a fun bash! Here are some features from the event: Welcome ImageWe hosted the party on Facebook. This was our Welcome Page. How beautiful is this Baby Shower setup. We found this image online taken by Jennifer Jones Photography. This photo really set the tone of the Virtual Baby Shower for the guest. How To Keep The Party Fun?With interactive games. These are just two of the games the guest played. And they won prizes too! What's a party without food? We found pictures of these delicious treats by doing and internet search. We even added recipes for some of the hors d'oeuvers so the guest could make their own at home. Even a virtual party can have great food. Element of Surprise The Virtual Baby Shower was a complete success. The over 40 guest interacted with each other, played shower games and posted videos of advice for the soon-to-be parents. Guest also purchased gifts for the baby through the couple's Target and Babies R' Us online gift registries. "Many thanks to my beautiful sisters Nia Mobley & Lrltree Brown for the lovely VIRTUAL baby shower last night. I had never heard of such a thing but it turned out to be so much fun! We had a blast."- Toia Barry
